Happy Palace School Isfahani Campus in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of ​​Karachi has introduced the first AI robotic teacher, who was formally appointed on November 1. This robotic teacher equipped with artificial intelligence has been named Miss Aini.
Students studying with the AI ​​teacher at the school expressed their happiness to the Express correspondent and said that whenever we ask Miss Aini a question, she answers our questions in a timely manner and studying in robotic classes is a different pleasure. The students said that apart from Urdu and English, they also ask questions in Sindhi, French and other languages. Engineer Hassan Siddiqui, who created the AI ​​teacher, said that it took him months to create this robotic teacher. This robot has been completely self-made, and everything from its small wiring to fiberglass, plastic and even artificial hair has been purchased from the general market of Karachi.
Talking to Express, Happy Palace School Principal Muhammad Asif Khan said that robot technology is common in the world, we have introduced an AI teacher to equip students with technology so that Miss Aini can help with the tasks given in different subjects. He said that more features of this robot will be upgraded later so that students can benefit more.
On this occasion, school principal Mrs. Siddiqui claimed that the AI ​​teacher has been introduced for the first time in Pakistan and she has been provided with a regular appointment letter at a salary of one lakh. This AI teacher is capable of answering in more than twenty languages. Miss Aini’s only diet is Wi-Fi and she depends on it. School vice-principal Sadaf Bhatti said that robotic Miss Aini is a full-time teacher who will not get leave on any season or festival. Miss Aini is currently teaching seven subjects and the robot cost over Rs 300,000 to build. The vice principal also said that the AI ​​teacher cannot replace any teacher, but it can act as an assistant and answer all the questions asked by the students.
The robot will be further upgraded over time and motion detectors and sensors will be installed, after which the AI ​​teacher will be able to respond effectively to every student with its movements, including blinking and gesturing.
It should be noted that work on the first pilot project of the AI ​​teacher was started in March and was finalized in August. AI classes were formally launched in November.
