List of the world’s most beautiful places for sightseeing and entertainment released; What is Pakistan’s number?
A list of the world’s 25 best tourist destinations has been released, including a region in Pakistan. This ranking was made by the British broadcasting organization BBC with the help of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, Sustainable Travel International and other similar organizations.
In the list of 25 best places, the Pakistani region of ‘Gilgit-Baltistan’, home to beautiful valleys, decorated with beautiful waterfalls here and there and with greenery as far as the eye can see, is ranked 20th.
The importance of this region can be gauged from the fact that the UNESCO-listed Deosai plains and the mirror-clear lakes of Shangri-La are included in it.
Gilgit-Baltistan is also called the gateway to heaven due to the fragrant cherry blossoms of the Hunza Valley, apricot orchards, natural wonders, green valleys and ancient lakes. It should be remembered that this is not the first time that Gilgit-Baltistan has been included in the list of beautiful tourist destinations. The Financial Times had also included Gilgit-Baltistan in the list of the 50 best tourist destinations in the world.
