Aamir Khan’s Shocking Revelation: He Once Suspected Shah Rukh and Salman Khan of Trying to End His Bollywood Career

Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, has made a surprising revelation about his past concerns regarding his Bollywood career. The superstar disclosed that he once suspected his industry rivals, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, of conspiring to push him out of the film industry.
Aamir Khan’s Doubts About Dangal
Aamir Khan, known for his method acting and perfectionism, delivered one of the biggest blockbusters of his career with Dangal. The film, featuring Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, and others, was widely appreciated for its compelling performances, powerful storyline, and Aamir’s jaw-dropping physical transformation. However, Aamir recently admitted that he initially hesitated to accept the film due to certain apprehensions.
In a candid interview, Aamir shared that when director Nitesh Tiwari approached him with the script of Dangal, he was highly impressed. However, having just completed Dhoom 3, where he maintained a lean and chiseled physique with only 9.67% body fat, the thought of portraying a 55-year-old father of four daughters with significant weight gain seemed overwhelming.
Did Salman and Shah Rukh Khan Conspire Against Aamir?
Aamir confessed that because of past rivalries among the three Khans, he briefly entertained the suspicion that Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had influenced Nitesh Tiwari to offer him a challenging role in Dangal to end his career. He speculated that they wanted him to play an aged father, knowing that it could negatively impact his superstar image and push him out of Bollywood.
Initially, Aamir requested the director to postpone the project for another 10-15 years so that he could take on the role at a later stage. However, Nitesh Tiwari was determined to make Dangal with him.
Aamir’s Ultimate Decision
Despite his initial hesitation, Aamir couldn’t shake off the film’s incredible story. He ultimately decided to take on the role, convincing himself that if Dangal turned out to be his last film, so be it. His decision paid off tremendously, as Dangal went on to become one of the highest-grossing Indian films of all time, winning both critical and commercial acclaim.
